Scott toured the South Fulton County facility at Edwards’ invitation to get a firsthand look at the resources used in training law enforcement and fire personnel, and to explore ways to identify additional resources for improvements. The visit focused on the role the resources play in providing homeland security. The Center, located at 3025 Merk Road off Camp Creek Parkway, was originally the site of the 1996 Olympic shooting competition. It is next to the Wolf Creek Amphitheater, currently under construction. The Center offers basic certification, specialized, advanced and in-service training classes for public safety personnel from across Georgia.
