Crown Road Post Office Closing PDF Print
February 8, 2010
Good Afternoon District 7 Constituents:

The media reported recently that the Crown Road Post Office will be closing and moving to Duluth.  Many persons have called my office to see what can be done to stop this move since the facility is vital to this end of the county.  I contacted Congressman David Scott’s Jonesboro office who, in turn, checked with his Washington office to see what discussions were actually taking place regarding this postal facility.  Attached is a copy of the correspondence received from Congressman Scott’s office indicating that the United States Postal Service will not be closing the Crown Road facility.  There is consideration for moving the outgoing mail processing at the Crown Road location to the North Metro Processing and Distribution Center in Duluth, but as of today, no final decision has been made.  If you would like to voice your concern regarding this issue, Congressman Scott’s address is as follows:

Congressman David Scott
13th Congressional District
173 North Main Street
Jonesboro, Georgia  30236

As always, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you in District 7 where Good Things Are Happening in South Fulton County.
